Google Considering Using Swift Programming Language For Android

Google's Android Platform may adopt Apple's recently Open-sourced Programming Language Swift. Google is considering swift a First Class Programming Language For Android.

Google runs Java as it's main language for it's Android Platform. It have been said that App written in Swift Language would be able to run both on Android and iOS, But that's not true since both the Android and iOS may share the same language but Platform specific API would be different and that means both the device won't share the same App.

It would make both developing of Apps on both Platforms to be easier in a way which wouldn't have to develop An App for different Platform using different language but using Swift Language.

It's been said that low-level Android APIs are written in C++ which Swift Language can't bridge to. Last Year Google Said they will no longer use the Java API for the Android N Instead it will Open JDK.
